Joint presentation of SIEMENS and FILKAB

The companies SIEMENS - Industry Sector and FILKAB AD held a joint technical seminar, which took place on 26.07.2012 in Plovdiv. The seminar was opened by eng. Viktor Mitrev, Sales Manager Industrial Automation, Siemens EOOD and eng. Tsenko Makaveev, sales manager Electrical Equipment and Automation, FILKAB, who made a short presentation of Siemens and FILKAB, the host of the event. The seminar included a presentation and demonstration session where guests had the chance to convince themselves "live" of the benefits of automation tools from the new generation of distributed SIMATIC ET 200SP peripherals.

The first part of the seminar program, presented by eng. Zdravko Alexandrov, was dedicated to the novelties in Siemens automation systems with application in process and discreet production. The guests were introduced to the new version of the process control system SIMATIC PCS 7 V8.0 with improved software and hardware functionality. SIMATIC PCS 7 Version 8.0 offers application-oriented innovations and is the perfect base for achieving higher productivity. He also presented the new software and hardware versions of the controllers from the micro-automation lines: LOGO! CPUs -0BA7 and S7-1200 CPU 1215C, S7-300 families: CPU 314C-2 PN / DP, CPU 312, 314, 315 (F) -2 DP; S7-400: CPU 412-2 PN / DP / CPU 414 / 416-3 PN / DP and industrial programmers SIMATIC Field PG M3. Part of the program were the novelties in the HMI visualization systems - the Comfort, Basic and Keyboard panels of PROFINET. The topic of industrial communication was presented with the introduction of the new features and application of the PROFINET and S7-Ethernet communication interfaces as well as the Totally Integrated Automation Portal engineering platform and the programming software: STEP 7 V11 TIA-Portal, STEP 7 Safety V11, WinCC V11, SINAMICS Startdrive V11 and Energy Management SIMATIC powerrate / B.Data.

In the second part eng. Boyko Boykov made a demonstration, including parameterization, setting of PROFINET network and programming of a SIMATIC S7-300 controller and a distributed periphery SIMATIC ET 200SP. Also shown was the built-in web server function in PROFINET processors. PROFIenergy technology was also demonstrated for energy saving on the basis of energy-efficient automation products that support this technology. The focus of the demonstration was on the benefits of the new distributed SIMATIC ET 200SP peripherals and major user benefits such as increased productivity, savings in control panel construction and ease of installation. Distributed peripheral SIMATIC ET 200SP has 31.25μs process update time and 100MBit / s backbone transfer rate and offers convenient integration with Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) automation levels and efficient engineering with TIA-Portal and STEP 7. It is 50% more compact than the ET 200S, it has 16 channel input and output modules and the possibility of mounting 64 modules per station in 1m. Innovation is the integrated power supply modules and an extended set of functionalities for the electronic input and output modules. The system is easy to install thanks to the possibility of wiring without tools with push-in terminals and easy to identify by means of labeling and color coding system.
